Two Papuans players were selected in the Oceania All-Stars team after the 2006 FIBA Oceania Youth Tournament: Nape Waka and Betty Angula. The team made a tour in Australia and played in the U20 Nationals against the best australian players born in 1988 and 1989.

The Oceania All-Stars won only one game in Australia over Tasmania to avoid the last place but Nape Waka should have learn a lot in this tournament. On the other end, Betty Angula played only the first game and was suspended from the team because of relation problems with her teamates and the coaches. The team missed her rebouding skills a lot.
