How does it feel like when you're a 15-year old tahitian to come in Australia and play against older and stronger players?
This is really impressing. I have never played against such tall and strong girls. The thing is that there was not only one 190cm player per team but many of them! In the whole Tahiti island, we have only one 190cm player, Naiki Iorss.

How was the tour with the All-Stars? Three australian girls were called in the team to replace three missing players.
The tour was really good and all the girls really got along together. It was great to have the three australians in our team. They were really kind, not very tall but very quick and mobile. They fit really well in the team and even their parents were really nice with us.

How was the team's chemistry with all the players coming from different cultures?
The team spirit was good. Everybody was nice but that was a bit difficult in the first days due to the language. So It was easier for me to stay with the caledonian, Wasselie Luepack and Myriam Fenuafanote. After a couple of days, we were close with the english speaking girls as well.

Why did Betty Angula play only one game?
Betty Angula did something wrong which was against the team policy. That's why she played only one game and the FIBA Oceania staff sent her back in Papua New Guinea.

You closed your tournament on a sweeter note with a win over Tasmania in the last game.
Oh yes, that's a great souvenir. Our team was getting better game after game. The game versus Tasmania was really close and we were glad to take the win at the end, we really wanted it. We gave our best, for ourselves but also to thank our coaches who were great. They teached us a lot especially on the tactical side of the game. We run some systems which are not used in Tahiti.

You've been picked in the All-Star team after the FIBA Oceania Youth Tournament in 2006 in New Zealand.
That was my first major tournament. I was young, only 14 and I played against some great teams there like Australia or New Zealand. Australia was really impressing, thay were really professional, it was great to see them play, gifted offensively and very very tall. That was even more impressing because that was our first game in the tournament. This a great souvenir, my first game at such a good level.

Let's talk more about this first game. Did you expect to face such a good team?
I didn't really knew what to expect in this tournament. That was my first overseas tournament in basketball. The australian team was breath-taking, it was like we were facing the World Champion team we saw on television a couple of months ago! The game was really tough, we were in a deep hole and got crushed. We were unable to run our systems, their defense was really great.

In the next game, you bounced back nicely with 24pts and a win over Guam. Do you think Tahiti could have gone high than the 6th place?
I wish we could have done better but we were not prepared enough. W
