No Vanuatu team in the South Pacific Games - Jul 19, 2007 (by Eurobasket)
The Vanuatu Basketball Federation decided not to send the National team to play in the upcoming 2007 South Pacific Games which will be held in Samoa at the end of August. This is obviously a huge setback for basketball in the country, hopefully the country will be able to field a team in the 2008 FIBA Oceania Youth Tournament in Guam.

PVBA: Sia Raga won the trophy - Oct 31, 2006 (by Eurobasket)
Sia Raga is the 2006 champion of the Port-Vila Basketball Association. They defeated the defending champion Tupuji Imere in the semifinals before defeating Au Bon Marche 45-37 in the final game at the Angilcan Mission Court.

Sia Raga - Tupuji Imere: 41-34

The PVBA Top4 pool phase was a very intense competition and every team is almost on the same level. In the last game, the winless Sia Raga managed to defeat the undefeated Sia Raga 42-28! This game will be re-played in the upcoming semifinals. The other semifinal game will be Stade United - Au Bon Marche. The games will be played on the Anglican Mission Court.
