Shoes or no shoes, Vanuatu wants a crack at the Games’ basketball competition. We've  al ready spoke about this problem but it's getting urgent as the baskettball competitions will start by the end of the week.

Vanuatu basketball players are desperate. They don’t have proper shoes for the Games.

But if you think that’s going to affect their desire to compete at the Games. You can think again.

Yesterday was Day Four of the 2003 Games and the Vanuatu side was still keeping fingers crossed that some sponsor would come to the rescue.

Coach, Dean Donnellon bit the bullet and agreed the shoes his players have are not worthy for the SPG.
