UTEP lost in the first round to Utah, 54-60, failing to advance into the second round of the national tournament. John Tofi (203-F/C-84) had 8 points and 8 rebounds in 23 minutes but had problem containing Australian Andrew Bogut in the first half. Despite Tofi efforts to contain him in the second half the damage was already done. Tofi will be entering his senior season, where will be expected to play a significant part in his team efforts as UTEP will change conferences next season and will switch from WAC to Conference USA |
