Preview of Women's players in US College Basketball

Within the next few days the 2005/06 US College Basketball season is set to being and we are take a  look on the American Samoan players that are current in college basketball and previewing them..

 

Sarah Landers 5’9 G/F Sophomore Tennessee Wesleyan (NAIA)

Landers will be playing a young team and very deep team in her position.  Landers is expected to see some playing time most likely of the bench.

 

Sunshine Misa Uli 6’1” F/C Sophomore Barton County Community College (NJCAA)

Misa Uli is a dual sports player, also playing volleyball.  Expect Misa-Uli to have a strong contribution as she is expected to be one the team top frontcourt players.

 

Emma Tautolo 6’2” F/C Senior UCLA (NCAA Division 1)

Tautolo has seen limited playing throughout her college career. This year is no expection, however Tautolo role is to give leadership to a talented young frontcourt.

 

Salai’a Salave’a 6’0 F Senior University of Nevada (NCAA Division 1)

Despite being a senior this is Salave’a first year in the basketball program, after spending most of her time in the volleyball program.  Salave’a represented American Samoa during her sophomore year in high school and was heavily recruited by Notre Dame basketball program before choosing volleyball. Salav’ea should see playing time, but it will depend on how quickly can she regain her basketball form.
