Canberra welcomes back Tolo - Jul 11, 2016

Tolo
Canberra Capitals (WNBL) landed 27-year old former Australian international center Marianna Tolo (196-89). It is actually her comeback to Canberra Capitals as she played here before. The last season she played at Tango Bourges Basket (LFB) in French league. In 24 games Tolo had 9.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.0bpg in 2014-15 season. She helped them to win the league title and the Supercup. It was a very successful season in her career as she was selected to Eurobasket.com French LFB All-Imports Team and 2nd Team. Tolo also played 14 games in Euroleague where she had 10.9ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.1apg. She contributed to her team making it to the quarterfinals.
Tolo was also a member of Australian international program for some years. She played for Australian Senior National Team between 2009 and 2014 and previously for U21 National Team in 2007.
Tolo represented Australia at the World Championships for Women in Turkey two years ago. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 6 games: 12.2ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.0bpg, FGP: 56.0%, FT: 85.0%.
And here thanks to pro basketball Tolo experienced life on three different continents. she is familiar with European, Australian and of course North American leagues. Tolo has played previously for two other Australia teams: Pays d'Aix and Australian Institute of Sport.

She joins another USA player Chucky Jeffery which is already in the roster. It is actually Ellenberg's comeback to MBK Ruzomberok as she has played here before. Spain - Australia 65:62 Spain celebrated the second straight win at the international friendly tournament in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. They prevailed against Australia.
