Dandenong - Perth 81-63

Dandenong defeated Perth in the decisive third game of the semifinal series and sealed their WNBL Grand Final appearance. The game was mostly controlled by Dandenong Rangers. Perth Lynx managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dandenong Rangers made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Perth Lynx helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for the former international guard Stephanie Cumming (178-90) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jacinta Kennedy (187-82) helped adding 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. Dandenong Rangers' coach Larissa Anderson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American swingman Samantha Whitcomb (178-88, college: Washington) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian center Ruth Hamblin (198-94, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds.

Australian State League round 15 best performance: Mikhaela Donnelly - 1 day ago
MIKHAELA DONNELLY Swingman Mikhaela Donnelly (177-F/G-94) had a very impressive game in the last round for Logan T., receiving a Interperformances State League Player of the Week award for round 15. The 23-year old player got a double-double of 28 points and 13 assists, while her team crushed Gold Coast R. (#13, 1-7) with 21-point margin 107-86. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in QBL. Logan T. maintains the 12th posit...   [read more]

State Leagues Round-Up - 2 days ago
There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management. The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Knox Raiders (11-2) in Wantirna South on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by sixth ranked Sharks (6-5) 93-73. Sharks forced 20 Knox Raiders turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Sharks especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 pe...   [read more]

Bishop is back at Tarbes, ex Sunshine CP - 9 days ago
ABBY BISHOP Tarbes Gespe Bigorre (LFB) signed 29-year old Australian international center Abby Bishop (189-88). It is actually her comeback to Tarbes as she has played here before. Bishop played this summer at Sunshine Coast Phoenix in Australian QBL. In 9 games she had very impressive stats: 24.9ppg, 13.4rpg, 6.1apg, 1.4spg and 1.0bpg. Great season as she was named to Australiabasket.com All-Australian WNBL 2nd Team and League Player of the Week. Bishop ended the last season at Dynamo i...   [read more]
