JEROME RANDLE

American-Ukrainian Point guard Jerome Randle (175-PG-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Kings, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, two rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Bullets (9-17) 92-80. Kings maintains the 8th position in Australian NBL. Kings is bottom ranked team in the standings. They need more victories to leave last spot and improve bad 9-17 record. In the team's last game Randle had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kings' top player in his first season with the team. Former University of California star has very solid stats this year. Randle is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.2ppg. Randle is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.1apg) and averages impressive 50.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old Dominican Rep. Edgar Sosa (190-PG-88) of Breakers. Sosa had a very good evening with 25 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Breakers lost that game 82-100 to the higher-ranked United (#1, 19-7). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Breakers still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 15-11 record is not bad at all. Sosa is a newcomer at Breakers, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#9). He also recorded 4.0 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Cameroonian forward JP Tokoto (198-F-93) of Wildcats (#3). Tokoto scored 23 points. Despite Tokoto's great performance Wildcats lost 83-85 to slightly lower-ranked Taipans (#5, 11-16). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Wildcats needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 15 victories and 11 lost games. Tokoto has a great season in Australia. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.1rpg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Daniel Kickert (208-C/F-83) of Bullets - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Daniel Johnson (210-C/F-88) of 36ers - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Casper Ware (178-PG-90) of United - 26 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Tai Wesley (201-F-86) of United - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Josh Boone (208-F/C-84) of United - 15 points and 12 rebounds
9. Travis Trice (183-PG-93) of Bullets - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists
10. Mitch Creek (195-F/G-92) of 36ers - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
