Konor Kulas
American Konor Kulas (201-F-94) had a great game in the last round for Werribee D. and that's him to receive a Interperformances State League Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 42 points and ten rebounds, while his team beat Keilor T. (#10, 2-6) 105-91. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings in BIG V. Werribee D. is placed at 9th position in their group in Australian State League. Werribee D. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-6 record. In the team's last game Kulas had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Werribee D., being already a very valuable addition to the team. South Dakota School of Mines graduate has very impressive stats this year. Kulas is in league's top in points (6th best: 25.2ppg) and averages solid 59.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old American forward Brian Voelkel (196-F-92) of SW Slammers. Voelkel impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 10 points, 25 rebounds and 14 assists. Of course he led SW Slammers to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Goldfields G. (#14, 1-8) 100-78. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in SBL. But SW Slammers managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 13th place. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories SW Slammers managed to get this year. Voelkel is one of the most experienced players at SW Slammers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Nigerian Princeton Onwas (198-G-93) of SW Metro P. (#6). Onwas got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . He was a key player of SW Metro P., leading his team to a 84-74 win against Toowoomba M. (#14, 0-2). SW Metro P. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in QBL. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost games. Onwas has a very solid season. In 3 games in Australia he scored 20.0ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jalen Billups (198-F-92) of Joondalup Wolves - 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Brandon Davis (183-PG) of Brisbane C. - 28 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists
6. Lewis Thomas (203-F-92) of Mt Gambier - 26 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Adrian Cabrera) of Hills H. - 28 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists
8. Ray Turner (206-F-90) of Bendigo B. - 32 points and 10 rebounds
9. Greg Hire (201-F-87) of Rockingham F. - 23 points, 19 rebounds and 8 assists
10. Jordan Coleman (196-G-92) of Keilor T. - 35 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Interperformances. Interperformances is a full-service agency specializing in the representation of professional athletes the world-over. With more than forty-eight years of experience, INTERPERFORMANCES is well known to all professional teams and clubs. General Managers trust and rely on our opinions and recommendations.
