NATHAN SOBEY

International Guard Nathan Sobey (190-G-90) had a great game in the last round for 36ers and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 28-year old guard had the game-high 24 points adding six rebounds and three assists for 36ers in his team's victory, helping them to beat Bullets (#4, 7-7) 101-91. 36ers is placed at 5th position in Australian NBL. 36ers is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-8 record. In the team's last game Sobey had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at 36ers and it's hard to imagine this team without him. University of Wyoming graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sobey is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.4ppg) and assists (2nd best: 4.6apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old American guard Bryce Cotton (185-G-92, agency: Pensack Sports) of league's best team Wildcats. Cotton impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Wildcats was edged by slightly lower-ranked Kings (#3, 9-4) 98-97. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Wildcats still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team has currently 11-4 record. Cotton is a newcomer at Wildcats and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.1ppg (#1). He also registered 4.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Shawn Long (208-F-93, agency: Pensack Sports) of Breakers (#7). Long scored 16 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Breakers, leading his team to a 89-78 win against slightly lower-ranked Taipans (#8, 1-11). The chances of Breakers not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Long could try to bring Breakers' a little bit higher in the standings. Long has individually a great season in Australia. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.2rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.5bpg and FGP: 52.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Lamar Patterson (196-G/F-91) of Bullets - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Daniel Johnson (212-C/F-88) of 36ers - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Nick Kay (206-C/F-92) of Wildcats - 15 points and 12 rebounds
7. Daniel Kickert (208-C/F-83) of Kings - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Andrew Bogut (213-C-84) of Kings - 10 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Melo Trimble (190-G-95) of Taipans - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Angus Brandt (208-C-89) of Wildcats - 12 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
