DANIEL JOHNSON

Former international Daniel Johnson (212-C/F-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for 36ers, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, seven rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Breakers (#7, 6-9) 109-98. 36ers maintains the 5th position in Australian NBL. 36ers is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-8 record. Johnson turned to be 36ers' top player in his first season with the team. Former Pepperdine University star has very solid stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.1ppg), rebounds (5th best: 7.3rpg) and averages impressive 51.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another 36ers' star - 28-year old international guard Nathan Sobey (190-G-90). Sobey had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Of course 36ers cruised to a 109-98 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Breakers (#7, 6-9). 36ers' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Sobey is well-known at 36ers and together with Daniel Johnson are proven team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.3ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 4.5rpg and 4.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international center Andrew Bogut (213-C-84) of league's second-best Kings. Bogut showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Kings, leading his team to a 75-68 win against #4 ranked Bullets in a game of the week. Kings needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 5 lost games. Bogut has a great season in Australia. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.1rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 3.6apg (9th best). He also has 3.0bpg and FGP: 57.1%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Nick Kay (206-C/F-92) of Wildcats - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Ramone Moore (193-G-89) of 36ers - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Mika Vukona (197-F-82) of Bullets - 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Terrico White (196-G-90) of Wildcats - 22 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Jacob Wiley (203-F-94) of 36ers - 18 points and 5 rebounds
9. Casper Ware (178-PG-90) of United - 26 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
10. David Andersen (213-C-80) of Hawks - 15 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
