DEONTE BURTON

Bendigo Braves (NBL1) landed 27-year old American point guard Deonte Burton (183-86kg-91, college: Nevada). He played recently at Salt Lake City Stars (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 42 games he averaged 5.9ppg, 1.8rpg and 3.0apg this season. Burton also spent pre-season at DB Promy (KBL) in South Korean league.
Among other achievements his team made it to the German Bundesliga Semifinals in 2015. Burton received also All-MWC 1st Team award back in 2014 at his college time.
And here thanks to pro basketball Burton experienced life on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Burton has played previously professionally in France (Lille Metropole), NBA (Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings) and Germany (ratiopharm Ulm).
He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
Burton attended University of Nevada until 2014 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.

JORDAN VANDENBERG Southern Huskies (NBL) signed 29-year old Australian center Jordan Vandenberg (216-120kg-90, college: NC State). He just played at Kumamoto Volters in Japanese B2 League. In 11 games he had only 2.6ppg and 1.5rpg this season. The last season Vandenberg played at Nishinomiya (B1) in Japanese league where in 26 games he recorded 4.4ppg and 5.4rpg. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most shocking disappointment of round 5 was a home defeat of bottom-ranked Austr.Capital (0-6) by seventh ranked Northern (1-5) who outscored them by 19 points 76-57 in the game for the sixth place.
