Mike
Anderson
27-year old guard Mike Anderson (193-G-91) had a very impressive game in the last round for Keilor T. and receives a Interperformances State League Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 36 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Blackburn V. (#8, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 98-85. Keilor T. maintains the 4th position in their group in Australian State League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Keilor T. will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Anderson had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Keilor T., being already a very valuable addition to the team. The University of Washington graduate has very impressive stats this year. Anderson is in league's top in points (9th best: 25.3ppg) and averages solid 67.9% FGP and 56.5% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Brandon Morris (203-F-94) of Eastern M.. He is American forward in his first season at Eastern M.. In the last game Morris recorded impressive double-double of 42 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Eastern M. lost that game 94-105 to the higher-ranked C.District L. (#3, 3-2). This loss caused Eastern M. to drop to 8th position in Premier League. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Morris is one of the most experienced players at Eastern M. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.0ppg (#4). He also registered 10.4 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Alexander Starling (198-F-89) of N.Adelaide R. (#4). Starling got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for nineteen rebounds . He was a key player of N.Adelaide R., leading his team to a 97-83 easy win against S.Adelaide P. (#10, 0-4). N.Adelaide R. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Premier League. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Starling has a great season in Australia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.3rpg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. David Shepard (201-PF-94) of Werribee D. - 49 points and 6 rebounds
5. Kentrell Barkley (195-G/F-96) of Mt Gambier - 40 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Josh Sykes (203-G) of Eltham W. - 22 points and 12 rebounds
7. Jack Lopez (196-F-94) of Bankstown B. - 24 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Raheem Lemons (196-F-93) of Casey C. - 29 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Louis Timms (206-F/C-91) of Kalamunda E.S. - 29 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Kevin Davis (206-C-91) of Joondalup W. - 23 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Interperformances. Interperformances is a full-service agency specializing in the representation of professional athletes the world-over. With more than forty-eight years of experience, INTERPERFORMANCES is well known to all professional teams and clubs. General Managers trust and rely on our opinions and recommendations.

Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most shocking disappointment of round 5 was a home defeat of bottom-ranked Austr.Capital (0-6) by seventh ranked Northern (1-5) who outscored them by 19 points 76-57 in the game for the sixth place. Northern held Austr.Capital to an opponent 24.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.3 percent accuracy of the winners.
