SHAWN REDHAGE

Perry Lakes Hawks (SBL) added to their roster experienced 38-year old Australian ex-international forward Shawn Redhage (203-105kg-81, college: ASU). Redhage played last summer at Perth Redbacks. In 26 SBL games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.8ppg, 6.7rpg and 4.7apg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Australian SBL All-Star Game.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Australian SBL championship title in 2017. Redhage was also voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian SBL Domestic Player of the Year in 2017.
He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. He was a member of Australian Senior National Team back in 2008.
Redhage has played previously professionally also in Puerto Rico (Capitanes) and Australia (Perth Wildcats, Bendigo Braves, NW Tasmania Thunder and New Zealand Breakers). With the Wildcats, he won 4 NBL championships.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Hawks.
Redhage attended Arizona State University until 2003 and it will be his 16th (!!!) season as a professional player.

State Leagues Round-Up - 3 days ago
The round was exceptionally exciting as eight games ended with a tiny margin. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Cougars (10-1) in McKinnon on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by second ranked Cavaliers (9-2) 125-123. It...   [read more]

Ben Simmons announces he'll play for Boomers in 2019 World Cup - 4 days ago
Ben Simmons (208-PG-96, college: LSU) has announced he will be a Boomer this year, making his debut for Australia ahead of the 2019 Basketball World Cup. Simmons was the last Aussie NBA star yet to declare his availability for the World Cup in China, prompting widespread speculation he would elect not to play in the same off-season he is expected to begin negotiating his potential five-year, $223 million max contract extension. Still licking his wounds from Philadelphia's heart-breaking b...   [read more]
