36ers ink Donald Sloan, ex Telekom Bsk- August 12, 2020
The most of previous (2018-19) season he spent at Jiangsu Dragons (Chinese CBA) in Chinese league. In 42 games he averaged impressive 25.5ppg, 4.8rpg, 5.0apg and 1.1spg. Sloan also spent pre-season at the Nuggets in NBA. Sloan was also a member of USA international program for some years. He played for USA Senior National Team between 2011 and 2017 and previously for U21 National Team back in 2004. Sloan represented USA at the Panamerican Games in Guadalajara (Mexico) nine years ago. He is quite experienced player. Sloan has played also professionally in Philippines, NBA (Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce, Texas Legends, College Park SkyHawks and Stockton Kings), China (Guandong Tigers) and The Basketball Tournament (Eberlein Drive). The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Honorable Mention back in 2017. He attended Texas A&M University until 2010 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player. Sloan could be described: Quick and aggressive scoring-minded guard. Talented scorer who is also very good at running a team. Gets to the free throw line at a high rate. Equally comfortable looking for his own shot as he is creating for others. Capable of knocking down the three-point shot and even better attacking the rim.
