Mandurah Magic (NBL1 West) signed 29-year old American swingman Jay Bowie (196cm-95kg-1992, college: Marist) for upcoming 2022 season. Bowie joins another USA player Ray Turner who is already on the roster.
Bowie played at Lakeside Lightning in 2021. In 13 NBL1 games, he averaged 23.3ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.8apg and 1.0spg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals.
He has played on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). Bowie has played previously professionally in United Kingdom (Scorchers), Australia (Tigers and Giants) and NBA G League (Delaware Blue Coats).
He graduated from Marist College in 2014 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
