Jonelle Morley
The Warwick Senators announced today the re-appointment of Jonelle Morley as head coach of the women's team for the 2023 NBL1 West season.
Morley made her head coaching debut in 2021 and will be in charge of the Senators women's program for a third season.
In 2022, Morley led the Senators to the minor premiership with an 18-2 record before guiding the team to the NBL1 West championship, defeating the Willetton Tigers 87-61 in the grand final to claim the team's first title since 1994. A week later, she guided the Senators to the NBL1 National championship in Melbourne to finish the season with 21 straight wins.
Morley has been busy working with the Perth Lynx coaching staff during the 2022-23 WNBL season. She made her WNBL coaching debut filling in as the team's lead assistant last month against the Southside Flyers.
The Senators' 2023 season is set to get underway on Saturday 1 April against the Eastern Suns at Warwick Stadium. Their quest to go back-to-back will be led by last year's core group of Stacey Barr, Natalie Burton, Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard and Chloe Forster.
