The Perth Lynx today announced the signing of American forward-centre Teige Morrell (191-F-1995, college: Nevada) for the 2023-24 WNBL season.
Morrell joins the Lynx as a development player after spending the past two years dominating the NBL1 West with the Joondalup Wolves.
After completing her college career in the United States in 2018, Morrell moved to Australia and carved out a strong career in the NBL1.
She is a two-time NBL1 Central MVP (2019 and 2021) and a two-time All-NBL1 West First Team honouree (2022 and 2023). She won an NBL1 Central championship in 2021 with the Southern Tigers.
It will mark Morrell's return to the WNBL after spending time with the Bendigo Spirit as an import replacement during the 2019-20 season.
Joining Morrell in the development player squad is Emma Klasztorny, Amy Jacobs and Grace Foster.
The Lynx open their 2023-24 campaign on Friday 3 November against the Sydney Flames at Bendat Basketball Centre.
