Shyla Heal (ex H.Petah Tikva) is a newcomer at Lyon- March 21, 2024Lyon ASVEL Feminin (LFB) added Australian point guard Shyla Heal to their roster. The 22-year-old, who played for H.Petah Tikva in the Israeli D1 league, put up impressive stats of 20.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 3.7apg, and 2.4spg in 7 games this season. She also played for Polski Cukier AZS UMCS Lublin in the Polish league, averaging 12.2ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.8apg, and 1.0spg in 6 games in the Polish OBLK, helping them win the Supercup.
Three years ago, she was drafted by the Chicago Sky (WNBA) in the first round (8th overall). She has been a member of the Australian international program for several years. She has regularly played for the Australian senior team since 2022 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2019. She also repped Australia at the FIBA Asia Cup for Women in Sydney last year. Heal's squad snagged Bronze and her stats were 6 games: 7.5ppg, 2.2rpg, 2.3apg, FGP: 47.8%, 3PT: 50.0%. She has also played professionally in Australia (Townsville Fire, Sydney Flames, Cyclones, Bendigo Spirit, and Comets) and Poland. She won the Australian WNBL championship title in 2023.
