Guard William Hickey (194-G-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for Albury Wodonga Bandits, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Penrith P. (#14, 1-8) 109-94. Bandits is placed at 3rd position in Australian NBL One. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Albury W.B. will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game Hickey had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Bandits, being already a very valuable addition to the team. William Hickey has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 25.3ppg), assists (2nd best: 8.3apg) and averages impressive 1.7bpg,2.1spg and 56.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Braelen Bridges (210-C-1999) of Ringwood Hawks. Bridges had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Ringwood Hawks was edged by the lower-ranked Geelong S. (#15, 3-6) 84-81. Ringwood managed to keep the same 7th spot in South. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Bridges is one of the most experienced players at Ringwood and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was swingman Roman Siulepa (201-F/G-2006) of South West Metro Pirates (#11). Siulepa scored 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Siulepa's great performance the South West Metro Pirates lost 71-76 to slightly higher-ranked Brisbane C. (#9, 3-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of SW Metro P. ranking at the top of North, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Siulepa could help SW Metro P. to bring them higher in the standings. Siulepa has a very solid season. In 5 games in Australia he scored 17.0ppg.
