Mikayla Pivec's triple-double lands her NBL One Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old American guard Mikayla Pivec (178-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Albury Wodonga Lady Bandits and receives a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 39.
She recorded a triple-double of 23 points adding also 16 rebounds and 10 assists, while her team outclassed Inner WB (#16, 1-17) with 45-point margin 88-43. It allowed Lady Bandits to consolidate first place in the Australian league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Albury keeps a perfect 18-0 record. In the team's last game Pivec had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Lady Bandits, through which she has constantly improved. Oregon State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pivec is league's best passer with 10.1apg. Pivec is in league's top in and averages solid 54.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Anneli Maley (185-F-1998) of Perth Redbacks. She is international forward in her first season at Perth R.. In the last game Maley recorded an impressive double-double of 34 points and 16 rebounds. Of course she led Redbacks to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Joondalup W. (#9, 6-11) 102-69. This victory allowed Perth R. to move up to 5th position in West. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 10-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Maley is one of the most experienced players at Perth R. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Lauren Scherf (196-C/F-1996) of Frankston Blues (#10). Scherf got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. She went also for ten rebounds and four assists. She was a key player of Frankston Blues, leading her team to a 85-83 win against the lower-ranked Casey C. (#17, 4-15). Frankston B. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in South. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Scherf has a very solid season. In 6 games in Australia she scored 21.8ppg. She also has 11.3rpg, 2.2bpg and a FGP of 51.7%. Lauren Scherf has also Australian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
