American forward Gerrard Newby (196-F-1995, college: Union, KY) was the second top scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 29 points he had in the Australian Big V. Newby graduated from Union College, Kentucky in 2017. Despite his strong performance, his team the Cougars lost to the Warriors 90 to 93. He also added 15 rebounds that evening. Newby is the 9th best scorer in the league averaging almost 22 points and 12 rebounds per game. He was also awarded Player of the Week in the Australian Big 5 2 times already this season.
