Maddison Rocci's triple-double lands her NBL One Player of the Week award

International Point guard Maddison Rocci (169-PG-1998) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Keilor Thunder and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 26-year old playmaker recorded a triple-double of 42 points adding also 12 rebounds and 10 assists, while her team beat Kilsyth LC (#16, 3-9) 92-86. Thunder maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Australian NBL One. They are still close to the very top. Keilor T. would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 9-2 record. In the team's last game Rocci had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. She just recently signed at Thunder, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Rocci has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.4ppg and is league's best passer with 8.6apg. Rocci is in league's top in and averages solid 2.5spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Teige Morrell (191-F/C-1995) of Lakeside Lightning. Morrell impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 34 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Lightning cruised to a 78-69 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Goldfields G. (#10, 2-7). Lakeside L.'s 7th position in west has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Morrell is one of the most experienced players at Lakeside L. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Karly Murphy (185-F-1998) of Kalamunda Eastern Suns (#13). Murphy got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. She went also for seventeen rebounds and five assists. She was a key player of Suns, leading her team to a 82-71 win against the higher-ranked Perry Lakes H. (#8, 3-4). Kalamunda ES can only dream about fighting for top spots in west. They have rather bad season and 1-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Murphy has individually a great season in Australia. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.9ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 15.6rpg (3rd best).

10. Iva Belosevic (185-F-1997) of Southern T. - 37 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
