American Guard Tresai McCarver (165-G, agency: Crossover Management) had a great game in the last round for Sunbury Jets, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The player had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed Warrnambool (#10, 1-17) with 57-point margin 97-40. Jets maintains the 6th position in Australian Big V. Sunbury J. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-9 record. McCarver has many years of experience at Jets, through which she has constantly improved. Tresai McCarver averages this season 13.1ppg and 5.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Courtney Strait (180-F-1994) of league's leader Bellarine Storm. Strait had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Storm lost that game 69-74 to the lower-ranked McKinnon C. (#4, 13-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Bellarine still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. It was just her team's 3rd loss this season, while they won 16 other games. Strait is one of the most experienced players at Bellarine and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.9ppg (#6). Her other stats are also decent: 7.3rpg and 3.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Sunbury J.'s star - forward Victoria Ikenasio (185-F). Ikenasio scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Sunbury Jets, helping her team with a 97-40 easy win against the lower-ranked Warrnambool (#10, 1-17). Jets needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Ikenasio has a very solid season. In 7 games in Australia she scored 14.6ppg.
