Hollingsworth's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

24-year old power forward Eliza Hollingsworth (190-F/C-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Pakenham Warriors and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
She had a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, while her team outclassed Hume City B. (#7, 7-14) with 35-point margin 96-61. Warriors maintains the 2nd position in Australian league. They are still close to the very top. Pakenham W. would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 17-4 record. In the team's last game Hollingsworth had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She has many years of experience at Warriors, through which she has constantly improved. Gonzaga University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hollingsworth leads league in rebounds with 11.9rpg. Hollingsworth is in league's top in and averages solid 1.2bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Melissa Prior of Sherbrooke Suns. She is a in her first season at Sherbrooke S.. In the last game Prior recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Suns lost that game 72-86 to slightly higher-ranked McKinnon C. (#3, 16-5). This loss caused Sherbrooke S. to drop to 5th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 14-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Prior is one of the most experienced players at Sherbrooke S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Michaela Kuen of Warrandyte Venom (#8). Kuen scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Kuen's great performance the Venom lost 64-66 to slightly lower-ranked Warrnambool (#9, 2-18). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Warrandyte V. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-18 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Kuen has a very solid season. In 20 games in Australia she scored 12.3ppg.
