Perth Lynx (WNBL) have agreed to terms with 26-year-old American center Yemiyah Morris (198cm-1998, college: WVU) for the new 2025-26 season. She is the second foreign player on the roster, with New Zealand's Tegan Graham having signed earlier. Morris played last season at Rojas in the Mexican LNBPF, where she averaged 1.9ppg and 4.1rpg in 8 games. Prior to that, she played for the Sydney Flames.
She is a very experienced player. Morris' career allowed her to travel to four different continents, while she played in six different countries. She experienced life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia, and of course North America. Morris has played professionally in Greece (Dafni Agioy), Israel (Elitzur Ramla), Taiwan (Taiyuan Textile), Turkey (Elazig Il), and Czech Republic (Chomutov).
Her team won the Taiwanese WSBL Regular Season in 2024.
She graduated from West Virginia University in 2022 and it'll be her fourth season as a pro player. Morris played for other colleges such as Mississippi State University, Cochise College.
