The East Perth Eagles have today announced the appointment of Jonelle Morley as head coach of the women's team for the 2026 NBL1 West season.

A highly respected and accomplished figure in Western Australian basketball, Morley brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a championship pedigree to the Eagles program.

Morley made her head coaching debut in 2021 with the Warwick Senators women's team during the inaugural NBL1 West season. In just her second year at the helm, she led the Senators to both the 2022 NBL1 West championship and the NBL1 National championship, riding a 21-game winning streak that capped off a historic campaign.

She guided the Senators to a third consecutive finals appearance in 2023 before departing the club at season's end.

Over the past two seasons, Morley has remained active in the league as a member of the Joondalup Wolves coaching staff. In 2024, she worked as lead assistant coach for both the Wolves' men's and women's teams, before focusing solely on the men's program in 2025 as assistant under David Morrell.

Morley now joins an Eagles women's team on the rise, following their top-eight finish in 2025, with an eye toward pushing deeper into the finals next season.
