It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 40-point difference suggests that Canberra Capitals is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. Jade Melbourne stepped up and scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Unique Thompson responded with 19 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Canberra (2-4) moved-up to seventh place. Loser Sydney Flames dropped to the bottom position with five games lost.
