An interesting game for Bendigo Spirit (5-2) which hosted in Bendigo second-best Perth Lynx (5-3). Third ranked Bendigo Spirit had an easy win 87-58. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Bendigo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for international guard Isobel Borlase (180-2004) who led her team to a victory with 26 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international guard Alex Wilson (175-1994) replied with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for Perth. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Perth at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Bendigo are looking forward to face Adelaide (#5) at home in the next round. Perth will play against Canberra and is hoping to win this game.
WNBL top team - Townsville Fire (6-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Canberra Capitals (2-5) 101-61. The former international swingman Courtney Woods (183-1997, college: NIU) scored 18 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Abbey Ellis chipped in 15 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Sara Blicavs (188-1993) with 8 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Townsville Fire have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-1 record. Canberra at the other side keeps the seventh place with five games lost. Townsville will play against Southside (#4) in Dandenong in the next round. Canberra will play at home against Perth and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Bendigo Spirit's coach Kennedy Kereama used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 22 points by Sania Feagin did not help to save the game for Adelaide. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Loser Adelaide Lightning dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Bendigo will meet bottom-ranked Sydney (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Adelaide will play against the league's second-placed Bendigo and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 6 Geelong U. was beaten by Adelaide on the road 99-93. Southside won against Sydney on its own court 93-76.
