Han's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

26-year old Chinese center Xu Han (208-C-1999) had a great game in the last round for Perth Lynx and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
She had a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds, while her team crushed Townsville (#2, 9-2) with 16-point margin 97-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Perth Lynx maintains the 3rd position in Australian WNBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Perth will need more victories to improve their 8-3 record. In the team's last game Han had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be Perth Lynx's top player in her first season with the team. Xu Han averages just after three games 23.0ppg and 6.7rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Cayla George (193-C-1989) of Southside Flyers Dandenong. She is international center in her first season at Southside. In the last game George recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds. Of course she led Southside Flyers to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Geelong U. (#8, 3-10) 86-58. Southside's 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-7 record. George is a newcomer at Southside and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Zitina Aokuso (193-F/C-1998) of Canberra Capitals (#4). Aokuso scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. She was a key player of Canberra Capitals, leading her team to a 97-71 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Southside (#6, 4-7). The chances of Canberra ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Aokuso could help Canberra to bring them higher in the standings. Aokuso has a very solid season. In 5 games in Australia she scored 14.4ppg.
