International Forward Anneli Maley (185-F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Perth Lynx and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds, while her team outclassed Geelong U. (#8, 3-12) with 28-point margin 106-78. Perth Lynx maintains the 2nd position in Australian WNBL. They are still close to the very top. Perth would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 12-3 record. In the team's last game Maley had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. She turned to be Perth Lynx's top player in her first season with the team. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Mackenzie Holmes (190-F-2001, agency: LBM Management) of Geelong United. Holmes impressed basketball fans with 34 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as United lost that game 78-106 to the higher-ranked Perth (#2, 12-3). Geelong U. are still at the very bottom. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories United managed to get this year. Holmes is a newcomer at Geelong U. and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#2). She also registered 9.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was international guard Maddison Rocci (168-PG-1998) of Southside Flyers Dandenong (#5). Rocci showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Southside Flyers, leading her team to a 113-94 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Sydney (#7, 4-12). The chances of Southside ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Rocci could help Southside to bring them higher in the standings. Rocci has a great season in Australia. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.5ppg (7th best) and assists with 6.7apg (2nd best).
