24-year old American forward Mackenzie Holmes (190-F-2001, agency: LBM Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for Geelong United and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
She had a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds, while her team crushed Townsville (#3, 12-4) with 17-point margin 88-71. United maintains the 8th position in Australian WNBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 13 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game Holmes had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. She turned to be United's top player in her first season with the team. Indiana University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Holmes is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.0ppg), rebounds (4th best: 9.2rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 60.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Xu Han (208-C-1999) of league's second-best Perth Lynx. She is Chinese center in her first season at Perth. In the last game Han recorded an impressive double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Perth Lynx was edged by slightly lower-ranked Canberra (#4, 7-8) 77-74. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Perth still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 12-4 record is not bad at all. Han is a newcomer at Perth and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#3). She also registered 7.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Unique Thompson (190-F-1999) of Sydney Flames (#6). Thompson got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. She went also for ten rebounds . She was a key player of Sydney Flames, leading her team to a 89-78 win against the higher-ranked Bendigo (#1, 13-3). Sydney can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Thompson has individually a great season in Australia. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.6rpg (7th best).
