Anneli Maley's triple-double lands her Player of the Week award

International Forward Anneli Maley (185-F-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Perth Lynx and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 27-year old forward recorded a triple-double of 18 points adding also 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while her team beat Sydney (#8, 6-17) 108-93. Perth Lynx maintains the 2nd position in Australian WNBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Perth will need more victories to improve their 18-5 record. Maley turned to be Perth Lynx's top player in her first season with the team. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Isabelle Bourne (188-F-2000) of Southside Flyers Dandenong. Bourne impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Of course she led Southside Flyers to another comfortable win 77-64 over the lower-ranked Adelaide (#7, 6-17) being unquestionably team leader. Southside's 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-12 record. Bourne is a newcomer at Southside and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#6). She also registered 5.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Perth's star - Chinese Xu Han (211-C-1999). Han showcased her all-around game by recording 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Perth Lynx, helping her team with a 108-93 easy win against the lower-ranked Sydney (#8, 6-17). Perth Lynx needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 18 victories and 5 lost games. Han has a great season in Australia. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.0rpg (9th best). She also has 2.0bpg and a FGP of 56.7%.
