Perth Lynx made 29-of-32 free shots (90.6 percent) during the game, while Bendigo Spirit only scored twelve points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Anneli Maley (185-1998, college: TCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Alex Wilson (175-1994) contributed with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. International guard Isobel Borlase (180-2004) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Megan McConnell (170-2001, college: Duquesne) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Bendigo Spirit. Four Perth Lynx and five Bendigo Spirit players scored in double figures.

Townsville - Southside 88-60

The former international guard Abbey Ellis (168-2001, college: Purdue) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Alicia Froling (190-1996, college: SMU) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Townsville Fire players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Isabelle Bourne (188-2000, college: Nebraska) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and international center Cayla George (193-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
