Cockburn Cougars (NBL One) added 31-year old Australian ex-international forward Darcee Garbin (188cm-1994) to their roster for the new 2026 season. She played last season (2024-25 at UNI Gyor in Hungarian A Division, participating in three different leagues. In 29 A Division games, she averaged 10.8ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.7apg, and 1.4spg, helping her team reach the cup final and league semifinals. Garbin was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Honorable Mention for her impressive season. She also played 6 games in Euroleague with averages of 10.0ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.3apg, and 1.0spg, and contributed to 4 games in Eurocup with 10.0ppg, 6.0rpg, and 1.5apg.
Garbin was also a member of the Australian international program for some years. She played for the Australian Senior National Team between 2019 and 2023 and previously for the University National Team back in 2017.
Garbin also represented Australia at the FIBA Asia Cup for Women in Sydney (Australia) three years ago. Her team won Bronze and she averaged over 10 points per game.
She has also played in Germany (Herner), Hungary (Miskolc), and Australia (Townsville Fire, Australian Institute of Sport, Perth Lynx, Frankston Blues, and Flames).
Garbin won the Hungarian League championship title in 2024.
