Turkiye - Australia 74-77

Australia claimed the fourth straight win at the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Group A. They overcame Turkiye in Istanbul tonight to stay undefeated. Alanna Smith (193-F-1996, college: Stanford) posted 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Cayla George (193-C-1989) provided 16 points for the winning side.
Turkiye jumped off to a 24-19 lead after ten minutes. Australia narrowed the gap at 2-point mark at the interval 40-42. Australia limited their opponents to just 12 points in the third term to take a 58-54 lead. The Opals protected the advantage throughout the fourth period and raced to the win at the end.
Sevgi Uzun (178-PG-1997) notched 20 points, while Kennedy Burke (185-G-1997, college: UCLA) finished with 17 points for Turkiye.
