George has been a member of the Australian international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Australian senior team since 2011 and previously for the University National Team back in 2011. George also represented Australia at the FIBA Asia Cup for Women in Shenzhen (China) last year. Her team won Gold and she averaged almost 10 points per game. She is a very experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit four different continents, while she played in five different countries. She tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America. George has played previously in Australia (Townsville Fire, Boomers, Sydney Flames, Flames and Meteorettes), France (Nantes), Hungary, Taiwan (Tigers) and WNBA (Connecticut Sun, Dallas Wings, Phoenix Mercury and LV Aces). Among many awards, she won the WNBA championship title in 2023. She was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-Taiwanese WSBL Player of the Year and Asia-Basket.com All-Taiwanese WSBL Center of the Year in 2024. George is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible she may end her playing career at Xinjiang. Tags : CAYLA GEORGE, XINJIANG MAGIC DEER, CHINESE BASKETBALL, CHINESE TRANSACTIONS |
