Beijing inks Jade Melbourne, ex Canberra- March 30, 2026
In 2022, she was selected by the Seattle Storm (WNBA) in the third round (33rd overall) of the draft. She attended Arizona State and is in her fourth season in pro basketball. Melbourne has been a part of the Australian international program for several years. She has played for the Australian senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2021. Melbourne also represented Australia at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. Melbourne's team won Bronze and she averaged 7 points per game. She has also played professionally in the WNBA (Washington Mystics). Among many awards, her team made it to the League Semifinals in 2022.
