Alanna Smith joins Wings- April 12, 2026
In 2019 she was drafted by Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) in first round (8th overall). The former Stanford University standout is in her eighth season in pro basketball. Smith has been also a member of the Australian international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Australian senior team since 2017 and previously for the University National Team back in 2017. Smith also represented Australia at the Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) two years ago. During this event she scored an average of 0.5 points per game and had 2.5 rebounds per game. She is quite experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit four different continents, while she played in five different countries. Smith tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America. She has played professionally in Australia (Adelaide Lightning and Flames), China, Poland (PolskaStrefaInwestycji Enea Gorzow Wielkopolski), Turkey (Emlak) and other WNBA teams (Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky).
