Jade Melbourne (ex Beijing) is a second Australian added to the roster of Storm- April 13, 2026
In 2022, she was selected by the Seattle Storm (WNBA) in the third round (33rd overall). She attended Arizona State and this will be her fourth season in pro basketball. Melbourne has been a part of the Australian international program for several years. She has played for the Australian senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2021. Melbourne also represented Australia at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. Melbourne's team won Bronze and she averaged 7 points per game. She has also played professionally in Australia (Tigers) and between other WNBA team (Washington Mystics). Between 2022 and 2024, Melbourne's team achieved many awards, including making it to the League Semifinals in 2022.
