Guard Emily Suckling (168-G) put on an amazing game in the last round for McKinnon Cougars and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
She had the game-high 32 points adding two assists for McKinnon C. in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Warrnambool (#10, 0-2) with 67-point margin 122-55. Cougars is placed at 6th position in Australian league. McKinnon C. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Suckling had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She has many years of experience at Cougars, through which she has constantly improved. California University of Pennsylvania graduate has very impressive stats this year. Suckling is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.5ppg) and averages solid 76.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Emma Pearce of Sherbrooke Suns. She is a in her first season at Sherbrooke S.. In the last game Pearce recorded an impressive double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Suns lost that game 48-73 to Hume City B. (1-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Pearce is one of the most experienced players at Sherbrooke S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.7ppg (#2). She also registered 8.7 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Tazsa Garrett-Hammett (180-G/F) of Pakenham Warriors (#9). Garrett-Hammett scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. She was a key player of Warriors, leading her team to a 94-73 easy win against Western Port (1-2). The chances of Pakenham W. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Garrett-Hammett could try to bring Pakenham W.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Garrett-Hammett has a very solid season. In 3 games in Australia she scored 15.0ppg.
