Rettstatt's double-double lands her NBL One Player of the Week award

27-year old American forward Bridgette Rettstatt (188-F-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Perry Lakes Hawks and receives a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 5.
She had a double-double of 34 points and 32 rebounds, while her team lost the game against Lakeside L. (#5, 3-2) 90-95. Hawks maintains the 8th position in their group in the Australian league. Perry Lakes H. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 2nd lost game this season out of 3 games. In the team's last game Rettstatt had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Hawks, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Liberty University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rettstatt is in league's top in points (9th best: 23.7ppg) and averages solid 1.7bpg,3.7spg,66.7% FGP and 45.5% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Jessica McDowell-White (168-G-2000) of Southern Districts Spartans. She is a guard in her first season at SD Spartans. In the last game McDowell-White recorded an impressive triple-double of 24 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. Of course she led Brisbane Spartans to another comfortable win outscoring Brisbane C. (#8, 0-1) 105-61. This victory allowed SD Spartans to move up to 6th position in North. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. McDowell-White is one of the most experienced players at SD Spartans and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Gabriella Bronson (178-G/F-1993) of Kalamunda Eastern Suns (#10). Bronson showcased her all-around game by recording 27 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Suns, leading her team to a 102-81 easy win against SW Slammers (1-3). Kalamunda ES can only dream about fighting for top spots in West. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Bronson has a very solid season. In 4 games in Australia she scored 20.5ppg.
