Experienced International Swingman Todd Blanchfield (198-F/G-1991) had a very impressive game in the last round for Illawarra Hawks 2nd team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 34-year old swingman had a double-double of 34 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed Cent.Coast C. (#6, 3-2) with 41-point margin 118-77. Hawks is placed at 4th position in Australian NBL One. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Illawarra H. 2 will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Blanchfield just recently signed at Hawks, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Blanchfield has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 29.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 16.8rpg) and averages solid 41.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Joe Palmer (193-G-2001) of Dandenong Rangers. Palmer impressed basketball fans with 37 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Rangers to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Bendigo B. (#6, 3-1) 109-84. This victory allowed Dandenong R. to move up to 3rd position in South. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Palmer is one of the most experienced players at Dandenong R. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Lloyd McVeigh (198-F-2003) of South Adelaide Panthers (#4). McVeigh got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . He was a key player of South Adelaide Panthers, leading his team to a 118-90 easy win against the lower-ranked Southern T. (#10, 1-4). S.Adelaide P. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Central. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. McVeigh has a very solid season. In 5 games in Australia he scored 21.0ppg.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
