International Point guard Shyla Heal (167-PG-2001, agency: LBM Management) had an amazing evening in the last round for Bankstown Bruins, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (37 points, seven rebounds and seven assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Sydney C. (#12, 2-4) 94-86. Bruins maintains the 4th position in their group in the Australian NBL One. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Bankstown B. will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Heal had a remarkable 91.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She just recently signed at Bruins and just after two games she already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Shyla Heal averages just after two games 23.5ppg and 4.5apg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international guard Kelly Wilson (170-G-1984) of Bendigo Lady Braves. Wilson had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 19 assists. Of course she led Lady Braves to another comfortable win 113-97 over slightly higher-ranked Nunawading S. (#10, 4-3) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in South. But Bendigo managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 11th place. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Wilson is one of the most experienced players at Bendigo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Ashley Harris-Arlen (187-F/C-1990) of Brisbane Capitals (#10). Harris-Arlen showcased her all-around game by recording 29 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Capitals, leading her team to a 110-91 easy win against NGC Seahawks (#11, 0-2). The chances of Brisbane C. not to end season at such low position in North, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Harris-Arlen could try to bring Brisbane C.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Harris-Arlen has a very solid season. In 3 games in Australia she scored 14.0ppg.
