Adrianna Smith claims Australian NBL One weekly honour

American Adrianna Smith (183-F, agency: LBM Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for Dandenong Rangers and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 7.
The forward had a double-double of 29 points and 17 rebounds, while her team outclassed Ringwood H. (#18, 1-7) with 33-point margin 93-60. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings in South. Thanks to this victory Rangers moved-up to the 16th position in Australian NBL One. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 6 games and had just two victories. Smith just recently signed at Rangers and just after two games she already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Adrianna Smith averages just after two games 22.5ppg, 12.5rpg and 5.5apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Teige Morrell (191-F/C-1995) of Rockingham Flames. Morrell impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Flames to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Kalamunda ES (#12, 2-5) 112-81. Rockingham F.'s 3rd position in West has not changed. Her team's 5-2 record is not bad at all. Morrell is one of the most experienced players at Rockingham F. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Mar'Shaun Bostic (173-G) of Southwest Slammers (#13). Bostic showcased her all-around game by recording 28 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Slammers, leading her team to a 91-85 win against Joondalup W. (2-5). SW Slammers can only dream about fighting for top spots in West. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Bostic has a very solid season. In 7 games in Australia she scored 17.7ppg. She also has 7.3rpg, 5.6apg and 3.9spg.

9. Shuyu Yang (182-F-2002) of Melbourne T. - 33 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Ashley Harris-Arlen (187-F/C-1990) of Brisbane C. - 26 points and 14 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
