Moore's double-double lands her NBL One Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old American guard Sierra Moore (180-G-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Goldfields Giants and receives a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 8.
She had a double-double of 36 points and 13 rebounds, while her team beat Perth R. (#10, 2-5) 102-96. Giants is placed at 5th position in Australian league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Goldfields G. will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Moore had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Giants, being already a very valuable addition to the team. The Pennsylvania State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Moore is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.5ppg. Moore is in league's top in and averages solid 58.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Zitina Aokuso (193-F/C-1998) of Melbourne Tigers. She is international forward in her first season at Melbourne T.. In the last game Aokuso recorded an impressive double-double of 32 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Tigers was edged by the lower-ranked Geelong U. (#17, 2-7) 71-68. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in South. Melbourne T. dropped in the standings to 12th position. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Aokuso is one of the most experienced players at Melbourne T. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Isabelle Bourne (188-F-2000) of Keilor Thunder (#6). Bourne got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. She went also for twelve rebounds . She was a key player of Thunder, leading her team to a 97-52 easy win against the lower-ranked Hobart C. (#16, 3-6). Keilor T. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in South. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Bourne has a very solid season. In 2 games in Australia she scored 26.5ppg.
