Loyola Marymount University signed 21-year-old South Sudanese-Australian international 5-10 guard Sarah Deng for the upcoming season. Originally from Adelaide, she is transferring from the University of Florida where she played for one year. Despite averaging just 0.5ppg in 22 games last season, Deng is looking forward to making an impact at Loyola Marymount University.
She played also at Central Districts Lions between 2021-23 and then at Eastern Arizona College for one season. Her team made it to the NJCAA Division I Final Four in 2025. Deng has been regularly called to the South Sudanese Senior National Team since 2025.
