Pizzey's double-double lands her NBL One Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old New Zealand center Rebecca Pizzey (190-C-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Eltham Wildcats and receives a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 11.
She had a double-double of 24 points and 26 rebounds, while her team edged out Diamond VE (#4, 9-4) 82-81. Wildcats maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Australian league. They are still close to the very top. Eltham W. would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 11-2 record. In the team's last game Pizzey had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Wildcats, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Pizzey has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 12.4rpg) and averages solid 1.7bpg and 63.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Caitlyn Jones (175-G-2001) of Canberra Nationals. She is a guard in her first season at Canberra N.. In the last game Jones recorded an impressive double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Nationals to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked Hornsby S. (#6, 8-4) 109-81. This victory allowed Canberra N. to move up to 11th position in East. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-7 record. Jones is one of the most experienced players at Canberra N. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Adrianna Smith (183-F, agency: LBM Management) of Dandenong Rangers (#15). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. She went also for ten rebounds . Despite Smith's great performance the Rangers lost 82-85 to the lower-ranked Geelong U. (#18, 3-11). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Dandenong R. not to end season at such low position in South, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Smith could try to bring Dandenong R.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Smith has a very solid season. In 9 games in Australia she scored 18.4ppg. She also has 8.8rpg and 3.8apg.

10. Erin Bollmann (180-F-1994) of SC Phoenix - 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
