American guard Will Johnston (190-G-2001, college: Richmond) was the top scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 41 points he had in the Australian NBL1. Johnston just graduated from University of Richmond. Despite his strong performance, his team the Spiders lost to the Newcastle Falcons 89 to 104. He also got 4 assists and 2 rebounds that game. 41 points is his new career-high. Among many awards he won the GCAA D1 Tournament championship title in 2022.
